Commissioned by the Wisconsin Arts Board

Vertus is a light-responsive, wall-mounted sculpture designed to express the ideals of pharmacology. Inspired by nature, the vesica-shaped lens sculpture leans into the sunlight as a leaf. The nearly 200 glass elements are laminated with prismatic film to interact with rays of light to transform the pure light into a dazzling spectrum of color.
